Commercial lines analytics to be used on the Canadian space shuttle

The Canadian Agency for Stuff in Space (CASS) announced today they’ll be forming a partnership with Policy Works Inc. (PWI) to incorporate data analytics provided by participating commercial insurance brokers into the Canadian space shuttle mission.

The shuttle launch, expected to take place in Sudbury, Ontario on April 1 will include approximately 420 lines of commercial data to create a comprehensive array of analytic trend lines, bar charts, scatter plots, waterfalls and other graphical representations.

“The colourful charts really pop against the black, nothingness of space, especially the bar charts,” said Canadian hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, commander of the mission. He went on to say, “I bet these scatter plots will outshine the stars!”

"We wanted a recognizable, Canadian hero-type to steer the ship,” said Steve Pieroway, Vice-president of Marketing and Sales at Policy Works. “Chris Hadfield was otherwise occupied, but Wayne Gretzky jumped at the chance. He kept talking about shots you don't take or something. So, we said what the heck, let’s give’r!"

Fortunately for Canadian commercial insurance brokers, Policy Works is releasing their new Analytics module to Earthlings in the version 2019.1 upgrade, available later this spring.
