At Policy Works Inc., we understand the importance of securely and reliably exchanging data with your insurer partners. That is why we have established the Policy Works Certified Data-Exchange Partner program. Policy Works Certified Partners work in close partnership with Policy Works Inc. to jointly meet stringent requirements that ensure reliable, secure electronic transfers and sharing of commercial-lines data with Policy Works. Our partner program enables Policy Works customers to confidently identify those companies who have met these requirements and are trusted data-exchange partners.

Standards
The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) launched its XML commercial-lines standard in May 2006. This standard, the result of significant collaboration between brokers, vendors, insurers, and CSIO staff, provides the foundation, or platform, for industry-wide electronic commercial-lines data exchange. All Policy Works Certified Data Exchange partners must use CSIO XML to exchange data with Policy Works Inc.
Verification
The certification process begins with a stringent data-mapping exercise completed by business analysts from both the Insurance Company and Policy Works Inc. Using the CSIO XML standard, we work with the insurance company's analysts to map the transmission of all data items that are exchanged between Policy Works and insurers. That is, we ensure there is a match between the data you send and what the insurers receive.
Once the data-mapping is complete, Policy Works Inc. works alongside the Certified Data Exchange Partner to perform extensive functional testing to verify data is being transferred properly. This protects your brokerage against E&O exposure.
Security
Whenever two business partners exchange information via the Internet, there must be a secure conduit. Regardless of the web application used to exchange data, the Certified Data Exchange Partner and Policy Works Inc. work together to ensure the protection and privacy of your clients' data as it is being transmitted.
