Policy Works has on-demand training courses designed for everyone from new user to seasoned professional.

P&C Survey Level 1

This course teaches the basics of Policy Works and its functions. Upon successful completion of Level 1, the participant will be able to:

  • Enter Underwriting, Location and Risk details.
  • Set up a Schedule of Insurance.
  • Make the most of the marketing lifecycle like creating submissions, proposals and binders.

They’ll also cover the wonderful world of the policy lifecycle like issuing certificates of insurance, creating endorsements and processing a new policy or renewal.


P&C Survey Level 2

If P&C Survey Level 1 sounds déjà vu, why not tackle Level 2? In this session, our training team turn up the heat and challenge you with more advanced topics like:

  • Importing and exporting Excel spreadsheets.
  • Adding multiple risks and locations.
  • Uploading and downloading data electronically (eMarketing).

In addition, they’ll show you how introducing templates into your daily workflow reduces repetitive tasks and streamlines existing processes.


P&C Issue

In this course, users learn how to:

  • Create an insured for a domestic insurer.
  • Manage a Policy: Endorse, lapse, cancel and renew.
  • Issue Certificates of Insurance.




Template Training

Are you a Site Administrator or a Policy Works “super user?” If you are, this session was created especially for you. Incorporating templates in your brokerage is critical because it:

  • Significantly reduces workload.
  • Enhances workflow consistency.
  • Maintains uniformity across your entire commercial lines database.

Site Administrator

The site administrator is the unsung hero of every success story. Their work behind the scenes is what keeps Policy Works running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Upon completion, the site administrator will be able to:

  • Set up brokerage offices, designate users, insurers, interested parties and themes.
  • Maintain the site by adding and deleting employees, renewing licenses and general maintenance.
  • Answer questions from employees on how to make the most of Policy Works.

Office managers, commercial lines managers or “super users” are excellent candidates to become your next site administrator.


Commercial Auto

If you’re a broker in Alberta, Ontario or Quebec and have purchased the Commercial Auto/Garage Auto modules, this session is a must! Join our training team as they embark on the ultimate insurance road trip with pit stops that include:

  • Creating an individually rated or blanket fleet policy.
  • Printing liability pink cards and custom declaration forms, including electronic pink slips (eSlips).
  • Importing and exporting drivers and vehicles using Excel spreadsheets.

But wait, there’s more! They’ll also demonstrate policy reporting staples like adding, deleting or substituting drivers and vehicles.



Lloyd’s Administrator with Lineage

In this course, your Site Administrator will learn how to:

  • Set up a Lloyd’s contract.
  • Configure user credentials for site security.
  • Set commission rates.
  • Renew contracts.
  • Work within Lineage batching rules.
  • Upload a batch.
